In the wave of the digital economy, the deep integration of the cultural industry and advanced technology has become a new trend. Over the past five years, a number of distinctive industrial parks in Jiangsu have emerged as industry benchmarks, with the Wuxi National Digital Film Industrial Park being a prime example. During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, the industrial park focused on its core positioning of "digital film and television," achieving a remarkable upgrade from a film studio to an industry hub, transforming itself from a film production base to a cultural tourism destination, becoming a shining example of Jiangsu's high-quality cultural industry development.
As a national-level park jointly built by the Ministry of Culture and the Jiangsu Provincial Government, the industrial park has continuously improved its development speed and quality during the 14th Five-Year Plan period. To date, the park has built the first 5G smart virtual photography joint laboratory in China, boasts the largest cinematic giant screen in China, and has gathered over 800 film and television and related companies. It has participated in the production of over a thousand film and television works, including *The Wandering Earth 2*, *Ne Zha 2*, *Nanjing Photo Studio*, and *Dongji Island*. In 2024, it received 343 film and television project applications and produced 315 films, with an annual output value exceeding 8 billion yuan, becoming the "core engine" of the Yangtze River Delta's digital film and television industry. The continuous rise in industrial strength has spurred a series of critically acclaimed and commercially successful films and television series. From "The First Part of Fengshen" winning the "Five-One Project" Award, the Huabiao Award, and the Golden Rooster Award, to "The Great Storm" landing in the North American market, and this summer's tear-jerking "Nanjing Photo Studio" and the visually stunning "Dongji Island"... the success of these works not only demonstrates the park's content creation capabilities but also reflects a city's unwavering pursuit of cinematic art. Today, with the dual support of technological strength and a robust service ecosystem, the digital film industry cluster, centered on the Wuxi National Digital Film Industrial Park, is rapidly emerging, continuously injecting new momentum into the high-quality development of Jiangsu's cultural industry.
